For blocks of flats over 11 metres in height, The new Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 require all fire doors including self-closing devices in communal areas to be checked at least every 3 months.

The regulations also require a best endeavour check to be undertaken of all flat entrance doors at periods not exceeding 12 months.
